What is Satanism?

What is Satanism?   Understanding Satanism   Originally written the 22/01/2026 Satanism is a religion that first appeared in the Modern Era by Stanisław Przybyszewski in 1897, one of the first self-identified "Satanists" that roamed in the literary and symbolic movement of the late 19th century, framing Satan as the symbol of absolute Individualism and some counterculture of societal constraints. It later was codified and "coined" by Anton Szandor LaVey in the Contemporary West of the United States. Who is Stanisław Przybyszewski ? Stanisław Przybyszewski as of what we know is a novelist, dramatist and a poet for a decadent naturalistic (specifically Young Poland) school. He was interested in Nietzsche growing up like the concept of "Beyond Good and Evil" in philosophy and started referring himself as a Satanist, he was quite liked, his works were refered as influencing and brilliant, Przybyszewski is known to be one of the kickstarters of Satani...

Satan worship and submission?

Satan worship & submission?   Addressing the elephant in the room.   Originally written the 24/11/2025 Satanism in it's existence has always been seen as Devil Worship, but how accurate is that? Short answer, it is not accurate at all.  Longer answer, Satanism is against dogmatic traits that lead to submission, Satanism in general is based on principles of the Left Hand Path which reject the existence of submission all together and seek rationality alongside the benefit of the self. Satanism is not about kneeling before a deity or performing a form of devotion to a force or higher power, submission to God, the Devil, or any external authority is a limitation on the individual's autonomy. By these standards, we have to define what worship is. "the practice of showing respect for God or a god, by saying prayers, singing with others, etc.; a ceremony for this" - Oxford, in practice of Religion Under this proper definition, worship involves the devotion ...

Let's talk about Baphomet.

Let's talk about Baphomet.   Explaining what Baphomet is: symbolically and historically.   Originally written the 17/08/2025 In both theistic and atheistic sides, even outside of Satanism itself, as for example with Thelema and the occult, Baphomet has been influenced all across the philosophies, thus, I want to represent it on a bulletin. The name 'Baphomet' first appeared in the early 1300s during the trials of the Knight Templar, under torture, members of the order confessed to worshipping an idol by this name, often described as a severed head or a humanlike statue. In truth, these confessions were nothing but coercion and political maneuvering, at the time, it was to justify the French crown's destruction of the Templars. 'Baphomet' did not carry any occult connection, infact, many historians recognise it as a corruption of the name 'Mohamet' (Muhammad) in Old French, reflecting anti-Islamic sentiment of Christendom and a convenient slur to fra...

Why Satan?

Why Satan?   The terminology and philosophy of the Adversary in LaVeyan Satanism   Originally written the 06/07/2025 As most people already know, LaVeyan Satanism is strictly atheistic, they do not believe in the Abrahamic variation of Satan, or any literal figure, although most will ask, is it then a religion? The answer is yes and no, some individuals may recognise this as an actual philosophy or lifestyle rather than religion; But Satanism enters said realm through aesthetics, metaphors, rituals, and symbolism. Anton LaVey uses the symbol of human awareness, empowerment and being unapologetic for your carnal desires, it represents the raw natural human state; Intelligently, Passionately, and Carnal. The term Satan originates from the Hebrew word 'śāṭān (שָׂטָן)' meaning 'accuser' or 'adversary', in it's early use it was not an evil entity but a challenger, someone who questioned, this term later evolved over time into a personified figure of opposition...
